So this great Paris excursion with this group of 6 very quickly turned into the great paris excursion of the girls and the guys, as we ended up only hanging out with the guys for about an hour and a half of the entire time we were there. Luckily I had been there before and knew my way around so that when the guys went their separate way ( don't worry about us guys...no...go ahead! we're just a couple o' girls alone in a big city...no need to wait 5 minutes for us to catch up!) I wasn't too worried.
The couple days that we had planned on being there turned out to not be enough (two days in Paris, or any great city, is never enough..) so we decided to extend our stay through the rest of the week and spent time exploring the area; seeing such sights as the Louvre, Notre Dame, Pompidou center, the palace at Versailles, and the eiffel tower.
I'd have to say one of my favorite times of the trip was when we had such incredible timing getting to the Eiffel Tower...we got there and decided that it would be totally worth it to pay the 11.50 Euro to go to the top of the tower on what was a gorgeous fall evening. As we got to the top of the tower we were able to watch the sunset over Paris and watch all the city lights come on...it was so amazing!
Our last day in Paris we spent at Versailles (enjoying yet another fabulous day in the string of fantastic fall weather) and got back just in time to catch our first night train that would take us to Spain.
