On Monday we travelled down from Auckland to Waitomo to see the glow worm caves. We went black water rafting whcih was fun but freezing and went down a slide wich took one of my wellied off so the rest of the time I had to hobble along. Oh on the way we went to some random farm where we watched an angorra rabbitt bein sheared. That evening in Rotorua we chilled out in the bar next the hostel whcihg was cool, and we were very pleased with our accommodation beacuse wer bically had a triple room with double bed, ensuite and kitchen.
Tuesday, obviously not had enough of ebing wet and cold, we went white water rafting down the river and down a 7m waterfall which was amazing. Oh yeah we were fine about it before they told us what to do if we fell oout down the waterfall. This is also reminds of earlier on the bus when Tina said "They strap you in yeh?" Lol. In the evening we went to a culture show where they performed songs and the haka and we had a gorgeous hangi meal. I haven't eaten that well sincxe my last roast dinner. The evening was really good but by far thge best bit was the bus journey home. The driver knew songs in several different languages and our trip ended with us singing wheels on the bus and here we go round the mulberry bush whilst he drove round and round the roundabout. I nearly wet myself laughing!
Wednesday was a more chilled day and we started off with a walk around the lake and then spent the afternoon in tyhrmally heating pools looking our over the lake until in got dark. Bliss.
Leaving Rotorua on the Thursday, we went to Wai-o-tapu and Lady Knox Geyser which are geothermal area which was cool. Headin on we stopped at some random places like Prawn Park before visiting Huka Falls. The water was so blue!. In the afternoon in Taupo Tina decided to do a bungy jump over a river and creamed so loud! You could hear her for miles!
