Okay everyone, well I have decided that this shall be the journal for all my travels around the world, so before I set off on my new adventures, I thought I might get you up to speed on my adventures to date.
In September 2004; I went to Fiji with my Daddy and my little sister. It was beautiful there and all the people were friendly and always smiling, ready to say hello ( or as they say "Bulla" ) I met two boys there from queensland and a girl from new zealand and we had a lot of fun exploring the Warwick Resort together, which is amazing! I got caught in a rip, cut on coral, saw a lot of amazing fish, got drunk, swum, went on cruise and got a tan, all in the space of a week and a half!! I cannot even describe how much fun it was, and hopefully next year I will be heading to Fiji again with a couple of friends from school.
Last year, in September 2006, I travelled to Japan with a few of my friends from school. We went there and stayed with families in Hashimoto, then in youth hostels in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and a cute little hotel in Kamakura. Japan is a beautiful place with amazing temples and ancient culture, mixed in with the bright lights of electric city and the cute world that is Tokyo Disneyland. I had so much fun and improved on my Japanese immensely, I still talk to my family, the Shizuka's and hope to see them soon! The thing I noticed in Japan, was that everyone stared at me, as I have curly light coloured hair and am very tall, which is different to what they are used to. I attracted so much attention that a man on one of the subways actually started filming me on his cell phone :p
So they are my main trips overseas, although there have been others and many trips around Australia, including Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra but unfortunatly not QLD yet. Definitely on my to do list..
I live in Hobart, Tasmania and it is a beautiful place! I love everything about it.. except the cold! The mountain, the beach, the friendly people, the market.. I would recommend everyone come and visit us!! As you can see from the photo, Tassie really is an extrememly natural and eye opening place.
Ciao for now,
