went in on friday and watched the aussie guy teach is definatly some1 good to learn from he has the kids in absoulte stiches i honestly thought some of them where going to have some kind of fit. their really not strict at the school its all about speaking/shouting as much english as you can get out of them and having fun and playing millions of games with flash card and such like. im really not sure what they would have to do to get told off!! is a fun place to be tho the kids dont just laugh they go mad throw themself on the floor jump of each other and scream if anything remotly funny happens or if they say something right or say something at all, their really really funny but definalty wouldnt be the best place to be with a hang over as its sonoisey in the classroom!did my oen lessons on sat with one of the bosses wtaching and helping then today had 7 hours on my own, well not really on my own as the vietnamese teacher is there with you but they help they give is varying, definalty notice a differnce in them when the boss is teaching to when im teaching!!!think it will be good fun worjking there and altho it seems pretty badly organised in terms of what your told to teach on the lesson plan is rarely what they want you to do in lesson, the bosses are happy to help and hagve put me in for lots of observations next week to help me with more games knowlegde etc. and the children are just hillarious in everyway, they really love coming to the language school as by the sounds of it their normal englisg lessons consist of the vietnamese teacher saying a word and they copy it out 40 times, thend o the next word!they seem really bright and am impressed with they english at such a young age. you have to be evry careful what and how you say things tho as they copy you exactly!
havent really done much apart form teach last few days treated mysewlf to pizza and beer tonight altho was abit werid, really should fight these urges for western food as is never how you think t will be!back to soups tomo. also doing washing and looking for an appartment then teaching 5 - 8 tomo. have been in touch with peoiple about vietnamese lessons but really need to sort somewhere to live first. hope to live in the same area as the school as its really nice and obv means i could walk to work. these days im getting moto's (motor bike taxis) but i can see how all the haggeling everytime i want to go to work is going to get anoying. have to walk off about 5 times before they give you a good price and its juts all too time consuming when youve got places to be!!! out of everyone tho you cant blame them for trying it on as they really dont earn much at all and sit on the street corners all day and all night trying to get business and the majority of people just ignore them completely but they sart at 10 times the price sometimes so it does get abit silly. now am going back to my room for shower and bed! hope to lkay in abit tomo but the little alleyway my guest house is on is a market in the day from about 5.30 where they sell fru8i8t and veg, fish bits mashed up,pigs trotters chicken feet, hearts and often see ther lady on the steps of my place shaving pigs faces ready for the pot mmmmmmmmmm!!!!!practically anything that every moved they shave it up and sell it. some live fish too and eels and a load of other stuff that i have no idea what it is. also they sell the most beautful flowers here the ladys have a big basket on the back of their bikes i havent asked how much as i dont have much need for flowers but theyre so nice they would definalty cost you an arm and a leg at home!
hope all is well at home was about to make a comment about how cold it is up here but thought better of it considering the conditions you are in!!! (is chilly tho have got a jumper on now and everything!)
lots of lovexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
