2012 brings a whole new start for me. This year I start discovering the world, learning what's out there and most of all exploring what treasures the world has to offer. From the food, the buildings, the people, the languages and the history that connects a distant feuding world. I will be exploring 23 countries in under 40 days and will be sunset and sunrise each and every time. As people go about there day dragging themselves to work and school I will be wondering who I will meet that day that could change my life and perspective. Being my first big journey I will be stepping lightly and taking in the conquers of the journey and the many more journeys to be had. This time isn't a time for ruckus but a time to learn what the world can offer me and I it.
I will be starting in London where both sides of my family started out, in the queens country. In an anti clockwise direction I get to explore the beauty of the Mona Lisa and the view from the Eiffel tower and then I get to move onto the amazing tastes of Italy, from the pizza and pasta to the gelato and wine. Next I move on the relaxing Greek islands, who knows what kind of adventure it will hold. Once the relaxation is over I move up to Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands where I can learn languages I could only dream of knowing and for the first time will get to see and feel snow. Once my tour is over and I leave my new friends I get to do some more exploring of London, possibly a day trip up to edinburough and maybe over to wales. Then I can to head over to Belgium with the amazing Kate for the best music festival in the world, the music world combined to get a high which no drugs will ever compare to. A party with hundreds of thousands of people of only few I will be able to understand. But it doesn't matter because aslong as there is a beat every understands.
As sad as it will be to come home after I can't wait to tell the stories, share the experience and go back and continue the love affair.
On a piece of string I'll take my steps but not without a pair of scissors to leave me on my own to explore and discover the world.
