Arrived at the Cameron Highlands Wednesday afternoon and the weather was pretty miserable. Tanah Rata, the main town was tiny. It's literally one road about 2km long with resuarants and shops either side and a few hostels on back roads here and there. Myself and a Swedish girl named Tina checked into Daniel's lodge, which was a busy little hostel with a "Jungle Bar" and a bonfire area which is where we spent both nights sat around. I expected there to be a lot more to do than there actually was. If the weather was better I would have wanted to do a bit more walking.
First thing Thursday morning Tina and I walked to one of the many tea plantation farms around Tanah Rata, where we enjoyed some tea and scones! I actually sneezed whilst holding my cup of tea so therefor had more down me than I actually tasted, but it tasted good anyway! After that we walked some more and reached a strawberry farm where we picked our own strawberries and had them made into smoothies - that's what I call fresh.
That evening a group of us sat around the bonfire. Myself and Tina, Bella and Sarah from Oz, 1 guy from Frimley Green and another from (can you believe it) Leatherhead. I'm trying to get away from the place and all we talked about was what I did at Bocketts farm!
