Hey everyone this blog takes you to mui ne which is a beach place we got an early bus from Ho Chi Minh to here which took about 5 hours and then we checked in the hotel, the bus dropped us off here aswell which was handy, we were staying in a 6 bed dorm and it was the most expensive dorm we had probably stayed in aswell which is why it was radiculous that they wouldn't give you. Remote for the air con they would come round at 5pm and then come back at 9am to turn it off, stupid!
We spent he afternoon sitting on the sunbeds outside by the beach and watching the surfers. Mue nie's beach is a surfers beach so there wasn't much sand and the sea was fierce with waves so we didn't go in there because it wouldn't be nice. There was loads of different types of surfing they do there there was kite surfing, surfing and wind surfing. You can do lessons and courses here to learn too.
In the evening we went to phat burgers which we read about in the lonely planet guide, it was a long 40 minute walk from our hotel but was worth it! Why we were in there eating our burgers a man was doing the burger challenge he had like 20 minutes to finish a burger that was bigger than my head and chips and if its completed you drink for free for the night. He didn't complete it I don't see how anyone could to be honest. We grabbed a beer at joes bar after which was next to mue ne backpackers where we were staying and then went to sleep.
The next day we did the same really there isn't anything to do here so we sat outside all day got a takeaway lunch and relaxed and then tried a place next door for dinner that was cheap and full of vietmenise which is always a good sign and it was really nice and we had to go book our bus to da lat which was another long walk took 35 minutes to get there and then the same back we were boring after and just went back to the room and relaxed the walking tired me out.
The next day the weather was rubbish we tried to lie by the beach but it started raining so we went for lunch next door an then back to our room before we went to the trip we d arranged the previous day to see the sandunes, we went in a 4 x 4 American jeep on the trip which was pretty cool and we to speaking to the other people we were on the trip with there was an English guy called Brendan who was working in Hong Kong and a week off so came there for a holiday and an Irish couple who were traveling called Niamh and Gavin.
The trip took us too a fishing village which wasn't nice it stank! And then too the white sand dunes which were nice and the dunes were quite big, people rented quad bikes and were going up and down them which looked fun but we couldn't afford them and also the was people ying t get you to rent a kind of sledge to go down them but we got told by people to not bother because its a waste of money so we didn't we just walked up and around and took some pictures, after that was the red sand dunes which were near enough the same just a different colour sand and when we were walking up a hill the sand slid and Dave nearly lost his flip flops! The last stop we went to was like a river that we walked through and there was sand either side the whole way that looked like rocks it was really nice there.
When we got back after spending the day together we all decided to go for drinks. We went for dinner and we saw Niamh and Gavin in there and joined them and they said Brendan was meant to be coming but he didn't turn up till we were eating so he then ordered and we waited for him before going to joes for a few beers and had a chat, then we went to jibes which was a bar on the other side of our hotel and had a few more beers and shots and went there rope string. The plan was then to go back home as jibes had closed but we ended back in joes bar for one more, I was so ready for bed then I was tired and eating a packet of crisps but then everyone decided to go to dragon beach where there's a club which we found out that everyone had been going too so we got a taxi there and more shots drink and danced then walked home and we were all pretty drunk I was not looking forward to getting up for my bus the next day! Brendan got a motorbike taxi back and we saw him outside of the hotel and he had lost his phone which wasn't nice.
The next morning we woke up feeling worse for ware Dave had biscuit crumbs everywhere as he hadn't eaten the cookies I passed down for him before we went to sleep and slept on them instead. We had a shower and packed and checked out where we saw the other 3 who were also feeling rough but going back to bed which wasn't fair.
We got a taxi to the sihn cafe where we had to get out bus from and got on it to go to da lat which was a 5 hour ride up the mountains to arrive to it.
Love and miss you all lots xxxxx
