Mum
hi Rach - just to let you know that maria, charlotte, Rachael, Liam and Rhys have started to produce your blog board. They've called it Rachel in the rare rainforest!!! - i think!! grandma's been to the chron today so we're getting things moving. Lynda was thinking that maybe when you get back, the 10's (last year's nines) could maybe take up a project over there to raise money for - so perhaps you could talk, research etc. to see what could be a worthwhile project. I can't believe these oil companies - it's disgusting - surely something can be done. lynda wants to use that as part of her assembly to y 10's next week, so anything else you can pass on will be well received. P.s. i can't believe that you wrote that impressive blog at the same time as writing on msn to us. - You should be an English teacher - it was great!! We're so proud of you!! love mum and dadxxxxxxx
Kris Page
hi Rachel. I'm not sure if you remember me (the insane Harry Potter lookalike) but i wanted to send you a message and see how you were. Your mum has been showing us some of you pictures and i am deeply envious, though perhaps not of your sanitary facilities (i'm picky). I've just read you entry about the oil companies stealing people's lands. it's pretty disgusting, i agree, and i suppose that its one of those things that isn't going to change unless human nature changes, but hey, we can do what we can? I once read a story in the newspaper about a man who started a one man war against a logging company that was stealing the land of the Indians in Peru, i think. i'm not suggesting that you should don a skull t-shirt and do a "The Punisher" by the way.
Anyway, looking forward to your next entry.
Kris
Grandma
Hi Rach - Grandma calling, we have just printed your photographs off. They are excellent, you have certainly been very busy. Sorry, but when you were speaking to Mum I was busy reading your journals to Vera. Frank Clarke is going to have a look at them later today. I am very busy at the moment updated all your progress to various people. Harry Farrimond hopes that you do not get hooked on the delicate soup, if you do, he is afraid that you will want it on your return!! Carry on enjoying yourself, I sent you an e-mail this morning, hope you have got it.
Lots of luv. Grandma xxx
Grandma
Hi Rachel,
Just taken your journals off the internet, oh what an exciting time you are having!! Glad that you are enjoying the food so far, have you tried the soup delicacy yet? I suppose Addy will not be pleased with me when she knows that I have been looking after Angus. He is very demanding and really makes you understand what he wants, when he wants to go for a walk he goes and sits and barks where his lead is, funny dog. Everyone is asking how you are doing so now I shall be able to tell of your experiences so far. Lots of love and take care. xxxx
Mum
Padfield Plum Fair tomorrow so the excitement is growing!!
One man is doing the coal race for about the sixth time! The weather is really lovely - which is more than could have been said for the Victorian Weekend. Anne came round with some flowers yesterday and sent her love to you. Dad showed her your website. Grandma and grandad are back so I'm sure you'll be hearing from them too!! I've printed your journals off so that i can put them up in school - if ythat's o'k' with you - let me know.
Going towatch robbiewilliams live in Leeds soon. Apparantly schools in the area have been closed because of security worries - so some parents are quite angry.
love mum and dadxxxxx
