So this was an interesting/frustrating week. We spent the week at a maternity hospital, where all kinds of cool surgeries were going on, along with lots of deliveries and Cesarean-sections. However, the resident doctors (the younger ones working under the senior doctors, and the ones who were supposed to be the most helpful to us interns) were very unfriendly. This made it hard for us to find out what we needed to about the patients and the surgeries that were taking place.
But despite this, I still was able to watch a delivery, a Cesarean-section, a few laparoscopic surgeries, a number of cervical stitches, as well as lots of sonographies for expecting mothers. It made me realize that I might be interested in obstetrics for my future medical career, which is good to know.
