Arrived in Hong Kong Friday morning (24 September). It was very hot and humid. My hotel was called the South Pacific hotel and was on Hong Kong island. Went to look around the local market and the Time Square shopping centre during the day. In the evening a group of us caught the Star ferry over to Kowloon. We saw the light show which was about 20 buildings on Hong Kong island being lit up and having lasers and beams coming from them. It was an incredible sight. We then walked along by the waterfront along the Avenue of Stars - the Chinese equivalent of Hollywood.
