Rach and Tom's Travels
The minibus ride went well apart from one family with a puking child and a mother who insisted on waving her arms about supposedly calming the atmosphere! We stopped once for the child to throw-up, and again for the drive to receive a traffic fine for £2 from the police for absolutely nothing, we were dropped off right outside our guest house, spot on.
We opted for a "raft-house" which it turns out is a double room with a shared bathroom built on a few planks of wood held afloat with airtight steel barrels. None the less pretty cool. To get an idea to the history of the town and railway we headed straight for the "Death railway" museum. Then took a massive de-tour to the bridge via Kanchanburi railway station.
