I have had a wicked few days here in Kanchanaburi: what a magical place it is...truly. I have done so much, and have had so much fun here. It is such a relief to get out of the hetic and chaotic city of Bangkok aswel, seen as we are going to be living there for the next 6 months.
So what have I done whilst I have been in Kanchanaburi?
The first day that I was here, me and Phil hired out a couple of push bikes, and biked 2 miles to see the World War II war memorial which was interesting, thyen we cycled to a cave, and took a look around there.
After that, I visited the 'monkey school' and got to feed the monkeys and was even allowed to hold and pet one of the monkeys, which was very tame: her name was Lilly, and I had so so so much fun just feedig her fruit, whilst she sat on the basket in my arms.
We then went to 'The Death Railway' museum, which was very interesting. But the afternoon, was the best ever: we went to tiger temple, and were allowed to pet the tigers and had photos taken with them. The best part was being able to stroke and touch the 3 months old baby tiger, it was an amazing experience, and I have some wicked pics, which will make a great keep sake.
Yestherday, I had another wicked day: me and Phil hired out some Kayacks and kayacked all down the River Kwai, we saw the 'bridge over the river Kwai' and I got some amazing pics of that also. We were pretty knackered at the end of it though, seen as we kayacked foe 8miles. At the end of it Phil was absolutely knackered, I wasnt as bad, and I thought it was more exciting as opposed to tiring, but last night I slept like a baby, and my arms today are definately feeling the effects.
But today, the plan is to just relax: I shall go and have a thai massage this morn: just to work out the aching in my shoulders, and the plan for the rest of the day is to just read and finish the book that I am currently reading: what a life eh? And i might even go swimming at the waterfall later, if I get me book finished.
I shall update again soon.
