Hi
We made it to El Salvador in one peice ! Got a boat across the mangroves at 6.30 this morning then got another chicken bus to the Guatimla/El Salvador border. While we were at the border eating breakfast we managed to make friends with a really nice truck driver from El Salvador , who offered to drive us most of the way for free ! So after we went through immigration we jumped in the truck and went with him (i know probally not the safest idea but it was fun !). After an hour or so he stopped and brought us coconuts with straws in to drink the water through ! They were very refreshing after a long day. Although once we´d finished with them we were told to just throw them out thew window ! So we were driving down a motorway throwing our empty coconuts out the window seeing who could make theres explode ! About an 2 hours later we were dropped off on the side of a motor way and had to make a mad dash across to reach the bus station ! And get another chicken bus to the town we are staying in.
The town is really pretty, and as it was the weekend they had a food festival on which made deciding on lunch a bit difficult ! The hostel we´re staying in is more like a mini house as theres only 4 be rooms. The owner is really unny, as he´s local but spent 6 years recently living in OZ so hes got a bit of a weird accent. But he did take us for a walk up to the towns water tank, were you can climb to the top and see completely every were.
Off to bed now, had a very long day.
