Amanda*s Travels
Hello! I know I havent written in a while, but i've been busy. I leave for Germany on Sunday morning. Bright and early. I've had an amazing time. The driving has gotten better... Haha. I went to London last weekend and met some great people. Went out dancing, basically alone, brave of me since I am so shy. But it was great cause I met some great people. :) Also met a nice guy from Texas who was over here making a documentry in Prague, so we hung out a bit, that was cool. Other than that, I didnt do much in London. I staying right in Picadilly Circus, which was great. I went to see Canterbury Tales and got a front row seat for £11. It was awesome, and the guy that played Chaucer kept starring at me. That was weird.... Apparently Randy from american idol was right outside my hostel too, but i missed him. I had a great time wandering around the city, and watching the buskers in Covent Garden. :)
I also drove over to Stratford a couple times. Once I took the girls, and we went to the Butterfly Farm where a butterfly landed on my shoulder. It was pretty neat. It starting raining so hard it was like hail, and we had to fun about a quarter of a mile through it. Hahaha, i forgot the rain coats, but it was a blast. We finally got to a really cozy pub and went in to dry off and eat lunch.
My new dream vacation at the moment is renting a barge and traveling up and down the english canals.
I went to Stratford again to see The Tempest, starring Patrick Stewart. IT WAS AMAZING!!! The show was absolutely incredible. I loved thier take on it. It was especially fun seeing as that I was in it twice, and have seen it done a few other times. Everyone does it so different. Afterwards I went out to see if I could catch patrick stewart. He finally came out, and I talked to him for like 20 seconds. He wouldnt take a picture with me because he only does with the kids. Lame. Haha. And when I told him my mom named my brother after him I couldnt tell if he thought we were crazy or not.... He had very piercing eyes though, i remember that.
I had a bit of a disaster with Megan the other day. We went to the pool, and while i was reading she apparently tried to do a back flip in. She landed her head on the edge of the pool and had an insane lump. She was okay after the panic died down, but that lump was crazy. I am feeling more and more like my dad. I just react to everything with an "eh" response.
I've also realized that malibu and pepsi is very good together.
Anyways, i will be sad to go in two days. I love the family and have gotten so used to it here it feels like i have been here for years. I will enjoy my last couple days of speaking english. :)
