Hong Kong Fooey Days 1 - 5
So...after leaving Efs n wee Gnash at half 7 on Sat morn wee ventured to Glasgow airport where my dad got me my last roll on sausage n bottle of bru...and carried my bag to check in!!
said cheerie bye n started off on my first flight down to London...went pretty fast n got to see the Eastenders credits from the sky!! ha!!
After humphing that f**kin backpack for bout 15 mins in Heathrow it was ready to get deposited in the first bin!! PAINFULLNESS!!!
12.5 hous later afetr landing lucky n getting leg room on the plane next to a rather hot frenchie i landed in Hong Kong and ventured to Chungking Mansions....
MANSION....AYE A KEN!!! actually immigration central....hoaching with creepy old coloured men tryin to sell hash n all the s***e a the day!! but at least there was security! ha!! room was actually pretty nice...altho the toilet was about 30cm square which included the shower...TOIGHT!!
Met my first travel buddy and we set off on a swar roung Kowloon...n what a swar it was!! thought my legs were gonna fall off!! Our swar continued for the next 3 days
Temple Market = trillions of useless crap but suppose it would be good if you liked that sort of thing
Star Ferry = ACE...takes 2 mins n costs $2.30 which is like 30p
Chinese Visa Cue = NOT ACE!! an they DONT give u a pen!!
Victoria Peak = ACE - especially when you go up for sunset and see all the lights go on - pitty it was too cloudy to see the sunset tho!! but the pizza was ammmazin!! ha!
Chinese Food = RANK - the smell gets unbearable after around 24 hours n it is NOT like home...all i wanted was a wee chop suey....NO CHANCE!! thank christ for McDz n rainbow cones!!
Central Hong Kong - I WILL work there one day when im big...swav wee bars n hot bankers in suits...YUM YUM YUM!!
Stanley n Repulse Bay = nice wee seaside village n ok beach...the bus fares in HK are NOT logical though...still dont get them but a fun chillaxed day all the same!!
BYE BYE LUKE = HELLO LONESOME ADVENTURE
back on the star ferry to get my chinese visa...50 bucks...would it b worth it...I THINK NOT!! took an adventure to Kowloon Park n it is quite possibly my fav place in HK...soo chillaxed with nice wee water features n even has parrots n flamingos...ACE!!
So the best is saved til last....GOLDFISH MARKET!!! a full street full of shiffyz...LUVED IT!! took me a while to find it but realised i can be trusted to work maps myself as it was all left to Luke til he left!! had a few wrong turns but got there in the end!!
there were also a few shops with puppies n kittens in them n the b****es who work there dont let you touch them...i had to leave coz i started crying!!!! enough said!!!
final day was spent chilling with my book in Kowloon park with a rainbow cone...n a majorly creepy old pakistani who insisted on walkin past me several times in an hour n then sat on the bench next to me n continued to stare for the next hour...just about lost the nut...how rude!!!! then i spyed another 5 benches along who started waving and ws convinced they were in cahoots over my rape...so got up n left...after gettin a tad annoyed n callin him a creepy old b****rd!!!!!
overall i actually luved HK...first few days i wasnt sure but afetr bein on my tod really luved it...could well seein me stayin there for a year or two...everythin is in english (pretty much), they DONT SMOKE, even in the park, the weather is good, its a financial capital so should be easy enough to get a job and the city is pretty safe...except those creeps in the park, shopping is ace as long as you have pennies and the chinese people are actually pretty friendly n helpful!!
high fives for hong kong!!
only regret = not doing tai chi in the park...leave that for the next time!!
next mission = train to shenzen to meet the wee frenchie...which could be summed up in a few short words...good pizza but pointless expedition..enough said!!
