Hi Guys well my journey has well and truely begun...

After much debate on my means of travel to edinburgh we decided car... one less bus journey over the next few weeks, but mum, ever scared id miss my 11 oclock bus to london left rosyth at 10 (in case of traffic) we arrive edinburgh bus station after every light being green at somewhere around 20 mins past ten... great waiting for transportation, mentally preparing myself for megabus... heard how bad it is from lots of people and do you know what... i dunno what the big deal is is wasnt bad at all you probably got more leg room than an easy jet flight without the swolen ankles, plus scenery going downn was alright to if a bit grey... been seing alot of that colour lately...

Going into london, was in the low emission zone for ages before i actually seen civilasation to my surprise... and drive into centre was pretty nice, took in some sights, spent most of my time ticking of street from the monopoly board. When i arrived took a little walk upto visit the queen she was home or at least thats what i think tht flag meant but not accepting visitor , i wouldnt want to get interupted in the middle of eastenders either lol.

Heathrow a journey of approximately 35 mins at 2300, yeah until A4 road closed and have to go a diversion try nearly 2 hours! a little nap in terminal 3 then check in, trying to trust americans not to lose my bags... Then securtity where a little lady who hands out plastic bags for perfume and makeup tried to feel important by saying the reall security (the ones with xray machines and beeppy gates) would take my mascara away if i couldnt seal the bag, hope she felt hard lol. They didnt!

Heathrow has the best invention ever, well really theyve listened to everyone who has every be given celebrations for christmas, biurthday or for any other reason.... they are a waste of self endulgence there is always those sweets at the bottom which lets face it is amount half the box that you dont like... made for sharing my bum , everyone likes the same flavours if i wanted a snickers bounty or mars id buy one . We want the little malteaser teasers , galaxy/ truffles/caramel and maybe a milkyway...which by the way always appear propotionally less represented in the boxes.

So back to point they have a pick and mix celebration yip i payed for less than the rice of a normal box to have only my choosen favourites, they have the others their for those weirdos that want them. Now thats a cause for celebration.

Then at the departure gate another security search with drug testy paper stuff... me and some newcastle navy dude felt a little picked on as we were the first until we realised there was a list and was only economy class that had the random check list, tip me a drug smugler, fly first class...

Flight to miami was ok, tho we got pasta for breakfast?¡ spinach pasta at that, weird americans, and i REFRAINED FROM DRINKING ON THE FLIGHT. be proud of me a little worried that reefraining from alchohol over the last two months (other than the night ryan led me astray) has had an effect on me. flight was alittle ott on the rom coms , valentines day and leap yr. bneither i{d particularly recommend.

Miami airport , security was quickest ive expeirenced in usa, think the esta thing is actually up and running now. Bag came of the flight through an x ray machine and into american airlines maze of baggage. Had some proper pizza, and was speaking to some american family who found it bizarre if oddly nice that i offered them to sit at my table to eat when the couldnt find a space... really nice though. Pat and his wife and their daughter megan, from st louis, i listened to them ramble on about their scottish ancestry, and golf and the nhs.

Next stop Lima aboard a flight 45 mins late and to sleep, 5 hours seems like 5 mins other than the 30 mins i was awake for food, or rather to give away food to the guy next to me... there something about the smell or airplane food. twinky was good, i ate that. Filled in my andean immigration card and went back to sleep.

Immigration again quicker than i expected, and i was in lima, a little private taxi to my hostel kusillus, and i was homke dry and after over 40 hours travelling went straight to bed...
