Sydney

Die grösste Stadt in Austrlien hat viel zu bieten. Man kann easy tagelang durch die riesen Stadt laufen und entdeckt immer wieder Neues. An einem der rarer werdenden sonnigen Tagen (der Herbst steht vor der Tür), haben wir an einer Stadtührung teilgenommen. Bei dieser Führung führt einem ein lokaler 3 Stunden lang durch die Stadt und erzählte interessante und vor allem lustige Geschichten von der Gründung der Stadt.
Er gab uns Insidertips und gute Fotogelegenheiten. Empfehlenswert.

Wir haben den Hafen besucht, sind durch den botanischen Garten spaziert, haben uns in der Artgallerie an Kunst versucht, wir sind durch die schmalen Gassen des historischen Viertels "the Rocks" geirrt und haben das Opernhaus bewundert (allerdings nur von weitem). Wir sind die pulsierenden Strassen in der Innenstadt auf und ab gelaufen und haben die Geschäftsleute in ihrer Mittagspause in einem der unzähligen Parks beobachtet. Wir haben ausgiebig die Kaffeekutlur der Sydneysider ausprobiert und Gefallen daran gefunden.
Wir hatten Frühstück in Bondi, dem berühmtesten Strand Sydneys, ein Mittagessen in dem stylischen In-Viertel Surrey Hills, und ein spontanes, zusammengewürfeltes Abendessen mit neugewonnen Freunden. Sydey ist eine unglaublich vielseitige und echt lebendige und energiegeladene Stadt.
Und natürlich haben haben wir auch das Nachtleben der Stadt gründlich erkundet=)
Während unseren 3 Wochen in Sydney konnten wir wieder bei Freunden, oder Freunden von Freunden einnziehen.
Die Gastfreundschaft hier ist legendär=)

Morgen ist es mal wieder so weit. Wir brechen auf zu unserem letzten Roadtrip. Wir wollen in einem Monat die Ostküste rauf bis nach Cairns fahren. Wir hatten urspünglich mehr Zeit eingeplant, aber naja... =) Wir haben das Planen mitlerweile aufgegeben=)

Sydney

The biggest city in Australia is fascinating. You can stroll for days through the huge city and still recover new things.
We went for a Free City Guide tour on one of the sunnier days. The guide was a student and told us a lot of interessting and funny things about the city and its famous places and buildings. He gave us insider tipps and fantasitc foto opportunities. Really good.

We visited the harbour and strolled through the botanical garden. We went to the NSW Art gallerie to see art from all over OZ. We got lost in the narrow streets in "the rocks", the oldest and historic place in Sydney. We saw the Operahouse, although not from very close ( did you know that it aint white?=). We walked through the busy streets of the CBD and watched buissnesmen and women eating their lunch in one of the countless parks. We studied coffee culture of the sydneysiders, and we love it.
We had an awesome fresh breakfast in Bondi, the world famous beach, we had lunch in the stylish suburb Surry Hills, and a spontanous dinnerparty with new friends. Of course we had also a cloer look on the night life. Great stuff =)
Sydney is a very lifly and energiebursting city. It has everything you can think of. While the 3 weeks we were here, we could crash the places of our new friends. The hospitality here is just awesome.

Tomorow it`s time again. We gonne start our last road trip here in Australia. We got a good month to drive up the coast to Cairns. When we planned our trip in the first place, we thought we`d have more time. But thats how life goes =)
