"Coz where were going no one knows..."
We had our train tickets booked. All we had to do was show up at the station by 11, print them on the machines and board. Doesn't sound to hard. And we got there with 25 minutes to spare. Got tickets. Got to the platform. Where we had our first problem. We had booked under 26 tickets but didn't have and id they accepted. Not even the passport. So now it's 10.55 and we had to go pay the extra bit and then board. Dias runs off to do both tickets and the train gets ready to leave. Doors where closing before he gets back only to say we can't pay the extra. We just kind of forced our way on in the end and they were happy for us to pay some guy on the train the extra bit. Pain in the ass. We would of been on from the word go but one lady must of had a bad day and stopped us.
Other than that Valencia was a new favourite. Really chilled little town. Maybe our new little travel family helped. We dragged some friends Jo and Sarah from Sydney and Melbourne with us. We all booked that same hostel and drank in the down stairs bar a fair bit. Hard not to when beers are as cheap as water. 1.50 euro for a litre. Amstel to so it's not even that bad.
Back to the city its self. The whole place is split by a dry river bed that the town turned into a huge park. Fountains, soccer fields, skate park, orange trees every where, random baseball diamond, and bike hire places. On the back of that we hired bikes and spent a day riding round seeing heaps more of the town. One thing Valencia is ment to have is really food Paella. Maybe we didn't get the right place but let's just say don't believe the hype. Tapas we had here and the kebab when we just got desperate were both really good though.
There's also some super modern buildings that make up the city of Arts and Science. We spent day checking that out and going into the aquarium there. This place had it all. Beluga whales, seals, dolphin show, a huge walrus and some fish. This ended up being the best part of a day till the rain hit and that's when we figured time to leave town.
