Watching the clock, not long now.
It's set in now. It happened when I instructed the bank teller to equip me with a few Euro. Looking at the notes reminded me of my last trip to Europe.
Before I know it I'm going to be handing over my paper tickets at Tullamarine, nervously waiting for the yay or nay regarding getting into QF29 tonight.
Am I looking forward to it? Not quite. I am looking forward to getting to Spain, but it doesn't take much to remind me that my destination is very, very far away.
It's not subtle that I'm preparing for a trip across continents and seasons. The pharmacist picked it when I purchased banana boat sunscreen whilst others shook down their umbrellas as they entered the store.
I can already tell that I'm going to miss Melbourne. Not the city itself - there's bit much to miss but people and activities associated with it.
It's about this time every week that I stet reaching for golf equipment; setting myself new ridiculous low scores and techniques to master. Any other week, I would be dearly looking forward to getting home and relaxing. Sometimes you don't realize just how much you like doing nothing with the one person that actually means everything.
It's going to be hard, there's soo much that you experience abroad that you can only share with that one person special. There's some things that only they would even understand.
