Catching up from Bonito, I did take that mototaxi back to camp - it was incredible! One of the highlights of my trip for sure :)
The next day I left about 10 (a lie in!) for the waterfalls trip. We drove to another remote area which was a bit like a farm with horses and ducks and chickens. I relaxed in a hammock until the amazing lunch buffet at 12 which was so good! And there were loads of desserts, brazillians love really sweet desserts. I then sat on a deck on the lake overlooking like really beautiful scenery waiting for the tour to start. I ended up chatting to this German family who spoke english, they told me that Id see about 7 waterfalls and the tour was really good, which was helpful because Heinz didnt tell me much about it.
The tour was basically jungle walk, waterfall, swim and repeat. Stunning views from like high up in the canopies and a little boat trip under canopies through little rivers ect. The watefalls I saw throughout the day were really pretty and i got to swim at most of them. No one except this one guy from Minas Gerais on holiday with his sister and brother in law spoke english, so i was grateful I had someone to chat to. There were also this cute girl who after learning my name shouted ¨Pri! Parley Portuguesa!¨ which i could only reply Sorryy!!!
To end the tour there was a 6m jump at one of the waterfalls. My new friend pulled the ¨Ladies first¨ trick - rising to his challenge i did go first, but screamed like a girl the whole way down :) Honestly I went so deep when i landed I popped my ears i think! either that or my own scream burst my eardrums! I had to take some nurofen that night to stop the throbbing but theyre fine now.
After the tour i was all geared up for a hot shower prepared with shampoo and shower gel. Unlike the Rio da Prata there was no hot water :(. I sadly went to the toiets to take my contacts out only to embarass myself when my friend walked in to the same one. Yeah I was in the mens...
I got back at like 7 to everyone eating dinner around the fire (i was the only one from my tour who paid for falls), but i was way too tired to even sit, i just ate dinner, flapped my dishes and went to bed. I actually ended up just having a cold shower cos i really wanted one. But its actually really cold in Brazil atm so it really wasnt nice.
Early start the next day->
