hello! where to start.... koh tao (island on the west coast of the thai penninsula) was AMAZING! this is the sort of life we've been waiting for!!! we arrived via ferry to koh tao at about 10AM--just in time to grab some delicious fruit shakes & pancakes on the beach. after looking around at a couple of overpriced, under-furnished places in popular sairee, we decided to check out the quieter southern part of the island... we ended up staying on Freedom Beac...

the only thing i have to say about singapore is GOOD JOB! that is the cleanest, nicest, easiest-to-get-around place in the world! we were only there for about 12 hours on our way to malaysian borneo, but that was more than enough time to find out that they've got something working right around there. after using the free internet stations in the airport, we took the ultra-convenient (and cheap too!) mass rapid transit train into the city to the zooooooo! imm...

well hello again! this time on the adventures of matt & cat: we just finished our trip to Chiang Mai (northern Thailand) which is a lot nicer than Bangkok. it's a "college town" for what that's worth. small enough to feel cozy in, but big enough to have some "luxuries". we even stayed at a place that had a swimming pool ($12/night)!! we met a girl on the train to Chiang Mai from upstate NY--we stayed at the same place and on Sunday ...

hello! it's been a while, but we're still alive! no worries! we hit bangkok on May 20th and experienced as much as we needed to! not bad, just done... we got in at night and checked out Khao San road, which is the equivalent to Sixth Street but with less Longhorns and more LadyBoys.... the next day we grabbed some breakfast and saw the Ghostbusters cracking down at a park across the street (check out the photo)! Bangkok is huge, but very easy to maneuver...
