So today I had a wonderful day exploring Sydney.
I went there on Thursday for an interview with a recruitment agency who have said they can offer me temp work. The interview was pretty scary as I haven't had a job interview in aaaaages but it made me think twice about what I'd like to do. Either is like a full time job and settle or fulfil my travelling goals and stick with bar work. I was hoping to be able to branch out from hospitality but I think that means a 6mnth min position somewhere.
Temp work can also be one day here, one day there; great for someone who knows the city but not maybe for a newby.
Anyway, the recruitment firm phoned me up the day after my interview to offer me a job which I wasn't quite ready for, but hoping that the money is good then I'll be looking at a new job and home this time next week!
Yesterday was spent sight seeing around Hawkesbury and the surrounding waters.
But today was a definite highlight. I got to be a complete tourist getting snap happy, heading up to the opera house, harbour bridge, the Chinese Gardens, Sydney botanic gardens and a walk down St George street. It was a beautiful day and I hoped to take the ferry over to manly but it was bloody windy so thought it could wait a few days.
Finally got myself an Australian phone number and a few postcards to send home.
32c tomorrow so I'm going to have a lazy Sunday in the garden with a good book.
Love to you all xxxx
