Flying doctors, what a thrill! Can't wait to hear all about it. Its good to hear that you are getting so involved, best thing is when you are so busy that you don't know where the day has gone!

We had a good hol in Portugal though not that restful for me and Uncle Simon! The villa was lovely, brilliant views and fab pool. It was a 7 minute drive into the nearest town which had great bars and a nightclub for Ben, Tash and Martyn (legal for Tash to drink out there so she loved it!) If you ever go to a foam party in Portugal a tip from me - the taxi drivers won't take you home so you will have to make other arrangements (Uncle Simon and I driving out at 3.30am to pick them up!)

Weather horrible at home - so much rain! Bank holiday weekend and yes more rain although yesterday was nice. Going out for a meal with Tash tonight to celebrate her GCSE results - thanks for the text that you sent her, she was thrilled! Off shopping in Bluewater tomorrow to get her some clothes that are suitable to wear now that she is going into sixth form - how scary is that!

Ben is back at work tomorrow and has just over a week to go and then is thinking of travelling to see friends around the country until it is time for him to go back to Uni - few problems now with the house next year as one of them has dropped out to go to another uni.

Sounds like you have been having a very busy and exciting time!!! You are with the flying doctors this week. I'm sure will be great as well as hard work. You will have to let us know if it is anything like the TV programme!?!?!?!?!?!?!
The social life seems to be treating you well and its good to see that you are still having time to do the 'Shaw thing' - SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have been to sunny devon this week to stay with my sister. emily enjoyed paddling in the sea and playing with the sand!!!! We provided the beach entertainment trying to fold down Emilys pop up tent after a glass or two of wine!!!! (Putting it up, was as expected much easier - hence the name!!!)
I got pooped on by a seagull (not nice) so bought a lottery ticket. Didnt win so still going back to H.O.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great to read yr journal update sounds like u hav had a busy and interesting time, i cant blieve this is yr last week in the hospital, hope its a gd one! loved looking at yr photos, micky hasnt changed neither hav auntie and uncle. Your room doesnt look 2 bad well not compared to lise!! Dave and debbies house looks lovely and the view from daves office is spectacular, dont think i would get any work done if i was there!!! hey lovin the cocktails!!! he he was gr8 speakin to u yesterday. had a gr8 time last nite with darren just had a few drinks then a meal i got back this morn! how did ur speech go today? hope it went well. im just packin for hol today cant wait hope my weathers as nice as urs its winter there 2 !!

Hey Stef, great to read the latest update, you sound really busy which is great, lots going on! Cocktails out of a teapot sound interesting, not sure I've ever seen that over here! Being a flying doctor will be so cool, can't wait to see some photos. Glad there is someone else from UK there too for you to compare notes with and good luck presenting cases etc, great experience! Hi Stef, just read your latest entry, it is good to get an update, cant wait for the photos... sounds like you are having a good time, and drinking far too much, dont let the Aussies get you into bad habits !! you know that you didnt drink much before you left the UK (mmmm... not)
The flying doctors bit should be great, i hope that the clear skies hold out for that week.
It is pouring with rain here, so you are not missing much weatherwise.

Hi stef really enjoyed reading your journal update sounds like its going well, a good mix of work and play! Not sure i believe the dodgy cocktail story though!!! Also sounds as if u are picking up some good tips, like the blowing bubbles tactic, will hav to try that at school! Good that there is now an other elective, although the aussies hav been friendly, will be nice to share your experiences with someone from the uk, cant believe u hav finished your 2nd week there already!
