Yo yo everybody!!!

I am currently in Luang Prabang at the mo, spent the last 2 days getting here which has been a bit of a ball ache but all good now. Me and Leo set off on Wednesday and had about a 10 hour mini van journey to the Thai, Laos border. The place we arrived at was called Chang Khong, not really much there it is just a stop off point before getting th slow boat to Luang Prabang.

So the morning of the slow boat arrived and it was absolutely hammering it down, what should have been a 2 day one night trip was estimated to take 3, potentially 4 days, which to be honest I just don't have spare to spend travelling to a single destination, so me a Leo transferred our money to get the bus which would supposedly arrive the same day at 19:00pm. This estimated time was a little out, we arrived at 02:00am the next day, 15 hours on a coach eeeeek, but at least we were able to have the day today in Luang Prabang.

We are staying at a place called Pathoumphone Guest House which is pretty nice, right on the Nam Khan River. Just before coming to the internet cafe though we witneseed a motorbyke crash 2 kids on the bike creamed into the back of a stationary truck trying to avoid another car. Myself and another English guy put one of the guys into the recovery positioned before he was hauled onto a tuk tuk and rushed to hospital with his mate, it was pretty crazy.

Me and Leo are taking a mini van down to Luang Prabang tomorrow morning which SHOULD take 5 hours but that is on the Laos watch so we will see :)

Oh yeah I also forgot to mention that I have a rabified leg, I seem to have had an allergic reaction to riding an elephant bare back (not like that you sick minded peoples). Apparently the hairs sometimes cause a reaction, its not pleasant.
