Monday saw a visit to Joe Fresh, followed by lunch at Mr Baghdad's place in the mall for falafel, a couple of which were complimentary as Margaret and Daniel knew the aforementioned owner whose name isn't actually Mr Baghdad. More shopping in GAP and Old Navy, but no purchases in the overpriced Tall Girl store. Silly prices. We made sure we weren't back too late, as we went to the local cinema to watch a French film called 'Conversations with My Gardener'. A subtitled film that you soon forget about as the comedic timing and expressions of the actors entertain. I won't ruin it by saying the ending, but it was a brilliant film. I was amused to see that the canopy of a restaurant near the cinema that we'd seen ripped by the snow last year was still ripped: it's nice to recognise things in a foreign country!
Tuesday introduced me to Oliver's house in Toronto, and his crazy cat Wheezy; crazy animals do seem to run in this family. We wandered over to The Gladstone Hotel for lunch, including the old favourite Chai Tea, before going to Oliver's workplace where people like designers, jewellery makers, and artists rent out spaces. There was some very impressive work on display there, very impressive. A goodbye to Oliver and we were back off to Mississauga to find Barclay enjoying his three hour nap under his blanket, he must have been very cosy under there, although he gave us a fright when he was so slow to stir. Just a sleepy dog though.
Beef curry for tea, oh I've missed curry, and then I bored Margaret and Daniel with a quick, but not too quick, run through of my 4600 photos. They tolerated them well! I was surprised that some of the Africa photos came out so well, and at how much I wanted to get travelling again after looking at them. Well after looking at those and the many travel books they have: I've made my next list of places to visit. I thought it wrong to book a flight when I haven't yet finished this trip.
Maybe once I'm back on British soil.
