today was rammed with a pletherer of tours. our first port of call was a 2 hour bus ride to kanchanaburi war memorial...on arrival my flip flops decided to split...great start to a treck. as we all came to terms with our hangovers we got into the whole mooching around. the 2nd stop took us to the river kwai museum and the bridge itself. scorching temps and masses of tourists made this fairly hard work. but fun was to follw, after lunch we were sent on our designated tours, for us that was bamboo rafting, elephant trecking and waterfalls. the bamboo rafting was great fun, but we spent more time swimming down the river rather tahn riding the raft. the elephant treck was a wierd experience as we sprinted through the jungle on a chained elephant. the final stop took us to a refreshing waterfall as you can see from the photos. currently sat in an internet cafe sorting out our emails and bits. booking our route to the islands tomorrow to get away from the "in your face" bangkok. all good
