Day 6
Up early today as we are off on another tour to Ayutthnya which is around an hour and a half north of Bangkok.
This is the ancient capital of Thailand and is full of temples... some small, some huge, some are world heritage sights whilst some are far from it.
There are temples all over this place but soon one temple begins to look like another as you get more and more lost in ancient Thai history...
Most are in very good condition now having been respectfully restored, and size is no issue.... If the Thais want a monks style robe on a temples Buddha then that's what it'll have, 2ft tall or 100ft, makes no deference.
Four things learn today....
1. 95% of Thais are Buddhist &
2. 33 kings lived whiles Ayutthnya was Thailand's capital.
4. Ancient Thailand has a history of conflict with Burma ( I think, guild didn't speak great English )
3. Sometimes on a journey in Thailand you don't see a car crash.
That's all folks.....
