An early start At 6.00am meant that we had to take the slow 70mile trip from home to Flookburgh airfield in grange over sands to complete the remaining surprise for my birthday. A skydive, this was also the opportunity to begin the many journeys in our new van. Pearl.

So after training and waiting I was ready to jump. Falling from the skys from 14,000 ft to take in the most breathtaking views which can't really be described.

Thanks to emma for my wonderful present. I bet her heart was pounding until my feet hit the floor.

And no broken bones. Great...

So we then continued our travels to Bouth - black beck campsite to which we will stay until Wednesday.

Paul and Susan helped with the awning and a bottle of wine and a stroll to the pub for tea completed a great day and a great happy birthday for Susan.

Weather has been perfect, clear blue sky, no wind and lots of sunshine.

A wonderful first day.......
