Hey guys!
I'm really sorry it has taken me this long to get my blog up and running - it has been manic over here! So i will try and remember all that has happened - and I appologise now for my appalling spelling...
So, Singapore...
The flight over was amazing - for someone who has never ventured outside the realm of Easyjet; Emerates was luxury - I mean you have your own TV screen for goodness sake! Awesome! - I was also really lucky and had an entire row to myself - so I had a wonderful pidge sized bed!
I was so lucky with the weather in Singapore! It rained only once and that was a spectacular storm - it was so exciting! At the time - I was in a coffee shop that had a glass roof - it was great! There was a woman at the next table though who was really terrified but determined not to show it - she just leapt 4 ft in the air at every clap of thunder - she was a lady from Brazil who now lives up in Cairnes - you would think she might have gotten used to the storms...apparently not! Anyway - I love thunder storms! It was really cool!
Around the second or third day the jetlag set it - I was gutted coz I though I had escaped it - but no - I started waking up a 4am (having only fallen asleep at 1am!) - I think we all know this is not like me - not like me at all! And I totally underestimated how evil jetlag is - for about a week I was unable to sleep and felt as though I had been hit by a truck! I'm all good now though - back to my sleepy self!
My hostel was really cool - I met some really great people who I might meet up with again in Australia...
The hostel was up on 'Mt Emily' (it was no bigger than frodsham hill!) next to a beautiful park. I watched the sunrise one day (in my stupid jetlag stage) and the views over the city were spectacular! It was great as the park was full of people doing their morning exercise - really early! lots of speed walking and yoga! I was tempted to to join them, but then I opted for sitting on the bench instead! I feel I made a strong decision!
On my last night I met Annisa, James, and some of their friends in town and we went to some really cool bars in Clarke Quay - it was beautiful by night!
Singapore was wonderful. I was really luck to have James and Annisa to show me around. We had some really great food - and had a great time! it was lovely! - I did all the gooney touristy things -it was lots of fun! - Don't think I could have spent too much longer there on this occasion - it was too hot and humid for me!
Thanks for all your messages and emails guys - its great to hear from you all - keep them coming - keep me updated on your wonderful selves!
I'm missing you all - wish you were here!
Lots of love...
