We left the hotel at 8:30am this morning in our very own mini bus bound for our last stop, Budapest. It was a lovely scenic drive though the mountains and on the way I saw this lake that was so high up, the surface appeared to be covered by cloud.
We reached Budapest and had a little bit of a break, before heading out on the orientation tour, Sara said she would make it quick as most of the passengers had to be back for Louise's pre departure meeting. Even though it was supposed to be quick it still went for over two hours…which for me was absolute torture, being sick and incredibly tired. I thought I was going to cry when Sara said we had to go all the way up the hill to Buda castle.
The view of the mighty Danube River was amazing and I saw all the luxury river cruise boats sailing up and down and moored by its side. To think only a year ago, I had been sitting at a desk desperately trying to sell river cruises to clients who neither could afford nor wanted them. How times have changed.
The castle was also impressive, although I must admit I was too sick to care and the view of parliament house, kind of like London's with out the clock, was amazing.
After the walk, we stopped for a quick coffee and hurried down back to the hotel. We went out for dinner at about 8pm and it was really nice to see Louise again…who asked me where my coat was.
Everyone else went to the pub afterwards, except me because I felt as though I was at deaths door. I said goodbye to Louise, but not to Sara as she had gone off to get something. It was a shame I never got to say goodbye to her and thank her for all her help.

Mum Who is Louise? Did you find your coat? When I looked at the photos on fb, I thought the Houses of Parliament were similar as far as being alongside the river. So glad your feeling better now.
