Got up at the grand old time of 2.30pm, very decent early start to the day. Monty picked us up with Nigel and went on down to the mall round the corner, grabbed a Korean breakke, which consisted of compartmentalised sections of random food, with squid in a really nice sweet spicey sauce. Probably the best meal i've had so far, and it's beginning to take some beating. Chilled out at the office and did some research for Gen about where to distribute the final copy of the Kadazan story. Narrowly missed out on some big budda procession moving down the road. Darn it, not often a huge deity goes wandering past you in search of it's next Nasi kus kus.
When it started getting dark and to the point we knew the traffic in the centre of town was a mite less of an arse, Nigel, Monty and I went to the centre of KL to check out the towers and all the malls surrounding the area. Really plush, and designer places everywhere, but then mixed in with some of the usual private enterprise free for all planted all over the place, and on top of each other. The towers looked very impressive sparkling at night, I checked them out fully another time.
In one mall Nigel dragged us sniggering like a powder puff girl to a very elaborate DC comic clothes shop. Someone who owned it had gone mental over everything, batman, superman, green lantern, and the rest of the justice league. There were life sized models of all the characters, plus a huge model of the souped up bat mobile from the Christian Bale movies. All quite impressive but all smack in the mouth expensive, £25 for a superman t-shirt, do I get a free crystal fortress in one of the poles with that as well?! Had a 7quid Starker beer at a Over Time pub gaff with malay girls dressed in German folk outfits. Quite a posh place really, with some guy banging out decent renditions of Edele hits with an acoustic band, go on son! "NEVER FOUND ANY ONE LIKE YOUUUUUUUUUU.....!"
Then went to watch the FA cup final at an Arabian restaurant, oh dear Liverpool. So close to a 2006 Champions league final come back. Had a decent lamb meatball Tagine, whilst Nigel and Monty puffed away on that Arabian smoking vase thing, that looks like a large bong, smelt of peach and mint from the smoke, really weird.
