The Full Moon party was amazing.
To start the story, we got the ferry accross to Koh Phangan arriving at 7pm and on the boat meet some great people. Setting out in our kilts was possibly the best decision we have made yet as during the course of the night meet about 12 Scottish folk who spotted our outfits. On the ferry meet two guys, Pete and Ben, and two girls, Lynne and Erin, who we got on really well with and meet a couple of times later on the beach. Lynne in fact is from just outside Edinburgh and is going to Aberdeen Uni as well AND is doing the same course. Bit odd we meet in Thailand.
The party raged on from 7pm and looked like it was going to stop as we left at 5am. During the course of the night we met, and chatted to, so many people i cant remember half of them but everyone was so friendly (i think the kilts again helped). After a few too many 'buckets' and whiskeys we made it back to the boat with a great guy called Pete who had lost all of his 12 mates so came back withus to Koh Tao.
The ferry back was, again, brilliant. Drunken sea shantys from the top deck with guys from all over the world soon passed the 1 and a half hour trip back home. A quick taxi back to Big Blue (home) and all was well to get to sleep at about 7:30am. The only problem was our bungalow was a twenty minute walk away...Charlie could be bothered but me and Pete were a bit too tired so crashed on the ben bags beside the beach. A 4 hour kip and it was time for a banana pancake breakfast. Fit and ready for the Scotland vs. England game at 11 tonight.
Just need to clean the kilt a little...
