Arrived in Bangkok on Tuesday 2nd October 2007...Spent the first evening on Khao San Road taking everything in...Phil was approached to go to a ping pong show, and no its not the sport as I thought!!!! Spent the next day going around the Grand Palace and a few temples, the heat and humidity was unbelievable. Decided to travel about in Tuk Tuk and got taken to a silk merchant to buy something even though we didnt ask to go there and it was miles in the wrong direction....although found out the Tuk Tuk driver gets a gasoline voucher from the shop if his passengers buy something!!!

The next day we went to leave our passports in at the vietnam embassy although we may not be going there now ... a v long story along the lines of malaria and that!!!Went to Ocean life after there - a large indoor aquarium, just good to get in for the air conditiong. Left on Friday on a 12 hour bus journey for Chaing Mai.........
