Here we are again, another lovely sunny morning and after Tess has had her constitutional, and pain has been collected, (large baguette) ready for a bacon sandwich.
We want to look around the village so leave early even though it's already well in the twenties. At the top of the hill is a market, perfect except Phil has forgotten his wallet and I only have ten euros in my purse. Still we have enough for a large lettuce and onions and from the butcher some lovely pork chops, ham and pâté.
There is more to the village than we thought, the usual cafes and restaurants as well as 3 hairdressers and 3 estate agents. I book an appointment for tomorrow as it is only 15€ for shampoo and cut.
We have a little wander around the lanes and see the beautiful church but decide it's too hot for Tess and head back via the river so she can cool off. We cool off by having the first of our 3 swims of the day, it was too hot to change, so lazed out in our cozies. Booking our next trip away.
Our BBQ had its first outing tonight, you can't use them in aires and since we've been here had nothing to put on it. When we opened up the meat we had a lovely surprise of some homemade black pudding, which we also put on the BBQ and it was delicious.
Thunder rumbling around threatening to break the weather but no such luck. Tomorrow is predicted to be even hotter so think we will have a repeat of today, spending most of our time in the swimming pool
