It was time lo leave Kissimmee today and head onto Charleston, South Carolina.

I arrived at the train station at midday with my new super duper train pass which I got in Miami.

I went to the ticket office to get a ticket only to be told that the train was full and I couldn't get on today, or for the next 3 days! I decided there and then to get my ticket from Charleston to Washington for Saturday to avoid problems.

The bus station is next door and I managed to get a ticket to Charleston but with a couple of stopovers and bus changes. Only problem being that the first bus didn't leave til 6.40 so had 6.5 hours to kill.

I managed to find the local library where I read the Sun (beano) cover to cover about 3 times.

Got the bus and headed up to Orlando which only took 20 minutes where we were kicked off for 1.5 hours! The bus eventually left again at 8.30 and arrived at Jacksonville at 11.30pm

The next bus wasn't due to leave til 2.10 am but the bus had been oversold and most of us didn't get on. They had to hunt round for another driver but he didn't turn up til 5am!

We arrived at Savannah, Georgia at 8am and because of the delay I had missed my connecting bus to Charleston and the next one wasn't due til 2pm so I got a taxi across the city to the train station. The taxi driver was an absolute LEGEND! He looked like he hadn't washed for years and had hair down to his ass. He was even driving bare foot and with one foot permanately rested on the other knee and he knew how to give proper road rage with Queen pumpin out of the stereo. Legend.

Finally got the train and arrived at Charleston at 11am, 24 hours after I left the hostel in Kissimmee.

Glasgow shower and out to see what Charleston has to offer...
