The book of Acts is probably the most interesting thing I have read in a long time.
The story begins as a epilogue to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Then as it continues, it delves into the story of a man named Saul, who actively persecuted Christians living in the middle east. Either by torture, jail, or death Saul would go and find all Christians he could and do whatever he wanted to them.
However, one day he is passing through a city, and all of a sudden, the Holy Spirit blinds him, and tells him essentially that he is wrong, but he will play a huge part in Jesus' ministry. So here you have Saul (now Paul) doing a complete 180 in his life, and instead of persecuting others, gets persecuted himself for his intense belief in Jesus Christ.
This same man Paul went on to write pretty much half of the New Testament. Pretty amazing for a guy who just his life turned around.
But really, it amazes me how much God can do with just one person, and how one can change so much with the power of God and the Holy Spirit.
Right now it still gets me that this man, who once hated Jesus, can become one of the most powerful tools in the Lords arsenal. I really do believe that God is really speaking to everyone, just like Peter, but we all have to open our ears to Him and what he has to say.
