So I've landed in Auckland, where the wind it is a'blowing! I think I heard somewhere that a tornado is forecast. Fingers crossed there are no sharks in it [insert Sharknado reference here]!
It's a bit hectic, trying to get round and visit all my family in one day. My lovely sister Nikki collected me from the airport, and we stopped in at Mum's where I got to meet the latest addition to her menagerie - a 9-month old Maine Coon called Guinevere. She's a gorgeous ginger and white cat, with a very regal, but mischievous demeanour. She gets on very well with Ricki, Mum's corgi (continuing the royal connection), and is conveniently ignoring the other two tabbies in the house.
I also got to spend time with my younger sister and her three kids. We took my nephew Aaron to his swimming lessons, and I had the honour of trying to corral Jess and Dan, Jenny's two-year old twins. Both are absolutely gorgeous, and Jess is a real terror!
Tonight, we're having a BBQ at Nikki's house, with Mich and Robert (my eldest sister and her husband) and Mum. It's going to be a full house, and unlikely to be quiet. Perfect preparation for an early morning flight!
