A week off work is ok, but you have to go back at some point...that's the downside. It has taken me 2 days to try and make some sense of what has been done (or more to the point what hasn't) while I have been away. I am sick of daily deadlines for stuff that is just not important...you have seen what we do at home with the junk mail and leaflets that end up on our door mat...that's right, they end up straight in the bin.
The band is still pretty busy at the moment. We were setting up on Saturday night ready to play a 40th birthday party. As we started the sound check, a woman came running over to us with a very worried look on her face. One of here customers at the back of the room had complained about the noise while he was eating...he was the local councilor and was not happy.. "how long are you going to be?, what shall I tell him"? she enquired.."don't worry, we will only play one more song, tell him, and then we will stop".....OK lads 1,2,3, 4 "Lip up fatty, lip up fatty........" some of the staff thought it was quite funny, although they had to keep it to themsleves.

Hi Pete, we're off this week, and we've been to Brean by Weston S Mare today.Walked miles along the beach, and could have done with some binoculars to see the sea, but hey ho, it was warm enough to be without a coat and to eat outside.We checked Ghanas weather and it said it was 32 but feels like 42, cos of humidity..we are happy with 15 here! A few questions for blog; have you got used to heat? What are the hours of day light; does it get dark early? Tell us about a typical school day ie start, finish, and what you do in the evenings. Can Kirby still see the floor in your room or have you covered it like at home? Who is the coolest person you ve met?Have you learnt to do your washing and will you carry on when you get back to UK?! Hi Pete Sorry i haven't been in touch its been a little hectic here. Amy has given birth to a beautiful baby daughter called Georgia born the 16th March. Lets just say William is getting used to the idea. Took Tom's mums moterised scooter over to grandpops last weekend and once he got over the initial surprise we did get him on it and down to the shops. He got better as we went and Tom and I ended up running to keep up!! We hope it will give him back some independance only time will tell. You seem to be having an amazing time with so many experiences. I hope you are keeping a record. Off to prepare the dinner now. Have fun xx

Pete, It sound like you are really embracing your adventure and having a fantastic time. Will you ever want to come back now you have the travel bug? It makes you realise what a small world we live in and how accessable these places are! Grandpops is with us at the moment and tells us you haven't yet seen an elephant, he seems somewhat pleased about it......for goodness sake make sure you see one before you come back and if you don't......lie!!! Hey pete, that last blog sounded awesome, i would have found that castle facinating but i would have probz fainted with the small room, (shudders). And be glad that the only fighting you are seeing is on the soccer field -- there are some nastier, more serious things going on in other African countriesover the last few weeks. Ghana is a good place to be!

Wow lol, i would have beenn annoyed a bit about the fighting as they wernt playing football but it would have be quite entertaining, i dont like the treatment the kids got that is foul. i cant believe u been to a weddding lol, but im very jealous about you firing a gun, when i was reading it i was like, george is just ganna go no, but he goes yeah, u wanna use a rpg or ak47? Wierd wouldnt be able to that as easy here. Sounds like ur a gun shot to, anyway good luck again!
