There nearly wasn't a blog today... I've been having difficulty accessing this site, and getting on the internet in general, which is most frustrating. But the main reason there nearly wasn't a blog, is because we just don't have much to share about today...
The rain settled in from mid morning, and the fog moved in soon after, which really prevented us from doing or seeing much. We walked around town, and it really is a beautiful little town, with all it's original buildings and architecture still in tact from the gold rush days. It's very reminiscent of Ballarat, but not on as grand a scale... I'll upload a couple of photos of the buildings and the street, to give you a bit of an idea, but the best thing would be for you to get off your bum and come and see for yourself. We also went up the lookout, but you'll see from those photos, that there wasn't much of a view... Jeremy cooked us toasted sandwhiches for lunch, and we spent the rest of the day bumming around the caravan and park, dodging the showers. The boys hit the jumping pillow regularly, and rode their scooters, and we did a bit of reading and... stuff...
So, as you can tell from the boring read, we didn't do much worth knowing about, and could nearly have skipped the blog altogether. But that would have set a dangerous precedent, and I'm not sure I want to go there, cause if it's ok to skip the blog today, is it ok to skip it tomorrow as well? And if that's the case, would there be a need for any more blogs at all? I think there is! It's the only written record of our travels being kept, and in the long run, I think we'll look back and be very grateful they were done. We'll be able to read them to each other in our dementia, and do the trip all over again, like it's the first time, and we'll really appreciate that. So, although days like this will be boring for you guys, I think the blog is still relevant for our own reasons, and I hope you'll bear with us...
Having established that, and with nothing else to tell you, it's occured to us that we've been away now for 5 weeks, and in that time, there's much we've missed. So tell us:
Who won 'The Biggest Loser', and did they still look fat? Has 'The Voice' finished, and was it as bad as when it started, or did it get better? If it's finished, was the winner any good? Has 'Masterchef' started again? Actually, don't worry about that, I don't like it anyway... Has that new tv series started, where they merge modern day with fairytales? (can't remember the name of it, but it looked good...) What's been newsworthy lately? (Disregard politics and sport...boring!!) Can anyone please tell us how 'Revenge' finished? We watched it religiously, and very nearly put our trip off to see how it finished... I don't want to ask, but Jo's making me... Is Kate pregnant yet? (Why do we care?)...
We still haven't tried to watch tv, but why bother, when we can just ask you guys?...
Tomorrow, we leave for Mission Beach, a trip of 350km, and hopefully the rain will have cleared for us again... See you then...

Aunty Min Well you should be ashamed of your boring day, I'll swap ya mine. I'd also like to get 'off me bum' & go see it myself, but Bankwest have suggested I stay & work my but off to pay them all the $$ I owe them plus interest !!! Fun police they are!! But we'll get there, hopefully while we're still able bodied enough to enjoy it. Glad the blog got fixed in time for daily blog-o'clock!!
Michelle Barrois Great News blog-o'clock has survived :)
Michelle East TV update, Margie won the biggest loser and yes Masterchef has started but can't fill you in on it as I don't watch it. Revenge is still going, the sister has the same father as the main character and the guy from the bar burst in and told her then somebody stole all of Emily's documents she had hidden under the floor. I think next week is the season final. The Voice is still going. There you go, a little TV fix for you, and 5 more weeks until we get "off our lazy bums" and experience this great country of ours.
