Tuesday 12th February - Stayed overnight in a really attractive hotel in Jujuy [Posada Arriba]. We had two hours to see the sights of Jujuy including museums, cathedral and central plaza [Belgrano]. This city is central to the liberation of Argentina from Spain and the site of significant battles etc. Belgrano is the general who eventually drove the Spanish from north west Argentina and the designer of the Argentina flag; his name, and those of other liberators, appears in every town as either a street or plaza. Afternoon flight back to BA and an evening meal with Wendy [Willis's sister]; we tried one of our two bottles of special and excellent vintage Malbecs from the Yacochuya Winery [Cafayate]. Wednesday 13th February - catch up day in BA, clothes washing, bank etc. Willis visited her childhood friend Josie. We need days like this in our rather frantic schedule; there is just too much to see in Argentina!
