Penny's Big Adventure
Howzit boys and girls (a new saying I've been instructed to use 3 times a day)!
I'm now in Kaikoura just for tonight, but due to bad weather I'm not able to swim with the dolphins or go whale watching. In a way, I'm also very relieved to not be taking another boat trip, but gutted I can't do the dolphin swim. I was really looking forward to that. But the alternatives are also very enticing.... Sheep shearing and watching the Surf competition. Sheep shearing is winning at the moment, so I'll keep you posted!
The drive from Christchurch to Kaikoura was really beautiful actually, even with the weather being as bad as it is today. The mountains are so green and well kept. There are fields of sheep, deer and cows as far as the eye can see.
I think I'm ready to leave the South Island now, I've seen a lot of it and although extremely beautiful, I'm looking forward to a change of scenery and pace of life. I plan to spend a couple of days in Wellington and a couple in Auckland to catch up with people and say goodbye etc. Then back to Sydney to see what life throws at me really.
Still having fun and enjoying my travels. As I said earlier though, I am missing friends and family. I really wish someone would win the lottery so they can come out and see me : )
Take care guys. Lots of love
