Abbie - What will be exciting today? Well Granny is coming on the plane up to Cairns! As we were driving up to the airport we were so excited! When the doors were opened and we saw Granny coming we were so pleased that she got here safely. We drove off with Granny and told here all about our trip. We went to the esplanade lagoon where we swam and had an icecream. After coming back to the caravan site and showing Granny the caravan we got ready to the Tjapukai Aboriginal centre. When we got there we went to an Aboriginal shop. After that we got our face painted and we watched a show that was to do with Australian animals. Then we all joined in to a song and had a buffet dinner that was cooked by the cooks at the centre. It was getting late so came back and ended our day with a smile and yawn!
Olivia - This morning we were very excited because we were going to the airport to pick up our Granny. We got to the airport and were waiting for her to come through the airport doors. We finally her smiling face in the middle of a crowd. We said our happy hellos and left the airport. We were wandering around town when we found the most magnificent ice-cream shop in Cairns. We each had an ice-cream with two flavours. We then went across the road to have a swim in the esplanade lagoon. We swan for about half and hour playing fun games with dad and Abbie. We then went back to the caravan park to show Granny our caravan setup. We then went for a walk along the beach. We went to a place called Tjapukai. We left at 730 and watched an aboriginal dance. We saw them light a fire and sang along with the aboriginal songs. We had our dinner and watched the final finale. We then headed off and that was the end of another awesome day.
