Arrived in Kuala Lumpur and really treated myself to a nice hotel...It is a beautiful place right next door to the Petronas Twin Towers. The area is lovely with a nice water area with fountains and bars and there are loads of great people to travel chat with. Headed over the mountains on a cable car to see a huge bronze statue of Buddha at Pnong Ping village, I was absolutely bricking it as the cable car was going over the stantions...not sure how I am going to manage the bungee jump and rides at the top of the Stratosphere!! Got the first flight to Hong Kong this morning. Sad to move on from Japan which I really enjoyed. Arrived at my (admittedly very cheap) hostel and felt rather sick...First impressions were that it was a grubby, smelly, dingy place. Started the day off with more sightseeing. Headed to the Ginkakuji Temple (Silver Pavillion), Kinkakuji Temple and Ryoanji Temple. This last one has a special Zen rock garden, one of the masterpieces af Japanese culture. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the area and it all makes for a peaceful thought provoking morning.
