Had a leisurely start to the day with a sleep in and Mark made us all breakfast of bacon and eggs.
Headed off to look for a nice beach that we had been told about by some people in the pub. Ended up on a track that challenged even our 4WD.
Eventually found the 69 beach (named after the 69 mile post nearby) and had a relaxing few hours lazing around in the sun.
We drove down to Kona and visited Walmart (just to say we'd been there) and we down to the marina to check in for our 'Swimming with Manta Rays' trip. This turned out to be fantastic. We headed out to sea at sunset and cruised down the coast a little to the snorkling spot. They lowered a platform from the boat which had lights on the underside and handles all around. There were about 20 of us on the boat and we all floated on the surface as the manta's came up to the surface underneath us. They brushed against us as they came up from the bottom, which was just in view.
We were there for about 30 mins I guess before heading back to the marina.
A great experience!
