He's had all his pressies today cos of his party for under thirties on the 30th!! We don't qualify of course what a pity still I think 17 staying overnight at Campania is more than enough say no more!! The littlies are asleep upstairs and Beck and Shaun are kipping on the blow up so they don't have to drive home through the snow! Dad's gone with Shaun to the Boote so hope they're not too long. Thank you for all your wonderful messages (in both English and Spanish). We would like to wish all our family and friends (both old and new) a very happy christmas and a wonderful new year from the heat of BA (very unusual for us English folk). We are off to enjoy our jacuzzi in 31 degrees of heat so please all feel sorry for us. Strange as it seems we would both without doubt rather be home, in the freezing cold, wearing those dodgy jumpers you get, ready to eat pavo for the next week and playing games with our families!

Hola chicos! La semana pasada era bueno con más clases de español. ?Quando Uds comenzarán sus clases en Buenos Aires? En la noche fui a la casa de Rod for una otra fiesta para los despertidas. Todos arrivieron mas tarde y tuvieron un tempo buena. Depués trés noches de fiestas y un poco dormir yo estoy cansando.

En la noche iré a la casa de la familia de mi compañero de departemiento. Más comida, más bebido! Yo amo este ludgar! ?Es necisito, no? En él primero día de enero iré para Talca con mis amigos de Alaska y una amiga de la escuela para comenzar una adventura en los montañas por 5 semanas. hey buddy the stories are great, you sound so travelled. me and jackson have been checking the photos in an attempt to use up the hours (its christmas eve and he just cant wait) job is going really well and he is doing really well at school, and of course lynn is happy because we have been shopping for weeks now for presents (i think i can describe it as her new hobby) keep in touch and i think i spotted another hat in the last lot of photos cheers jimi

tengo que decir que es muy interesante siguiendo vuestro viaje de un lugar al otro - os envio su libertad!!!
Rod y yo nos encontramos bien, siempre disfrutando de nuestro SEGUNDO verano del ano 2005. Organizamos otro asado en nuestra casa manana = despedida de Rod como es su ultimo dia en ECELA manana - con todos los profesores y varios estudiantes. No hay nada especial para Navidad y Ano Nuevo pero viajamos un poco durante los primeras dos semanas de enero (Mendoza. La Serena, Valle de Elqui, ....). Otros viajes que planificamos para 2006 es Montevideo + Buenos Aires, Panama + Costa Rica y, por supuesto, una larga estancia en Tejas en juni-julio. Son muy impresionantes todos los fotos, especialmente aquellos de La Paz.
Y como va el espanol??

Hiya hope you're not crying for me in Argentina! It's in the middle of the night here and guess you're in mid 7hour journey hope the drinks are being limited and you've got your legs crossed! Nan and Papa are sleeping en paz mi braino just won't let me slumber so here i am again! We are going to Liz's funeral today, my piano teacher. I am feeling a bit reflective at the mo. We have just designed and printed the order of service, they look really good. It's nice to do something to help. Bambinos were here yesterday they are gorgeous! We made more mince pies cos papa keeps eating em ! We also made a treacle tart Luke loved pouring in the syrup and you should have seen them both with teaspoons finishing up the syrup in the tin at the same time as James was eating the dry Weetabix which was meant to go on top! All he wants for Christmas is Bob! We've been watching Bob the Builder dvds so much that Bob has become part of the familia! Luke likes playing computer games now and is getting the hang of the mouse. No doubt he'll soon be beating me! well tea is finito so will hit the sack once more. Well hello to you all and we wish you a very merry Christmas and a wild new year! I am truly sorry for chickening out here and not sending a 2 page of A4 message, that{s because my 2 page A4 message was lost in space when a huge storm and power cut hit our previous town. ?Pooh? is the most extreme polite word i could think of when this happened but have managed to get over this now and am cautiously writing another!
Mama y Papa, have been wanting to call you from Bolivia (since leaving La Paz) there has been very poor amount of tele centres and huge rates so hopefully when we reach Argentina tomorrow! The mobile sim you are very kindly trying to get hold of us on is now also lost in space somewhere in Chile! Glad to hear you sound organised for Chrimbo! Im sure J will be really honored to put his slacks on and do some dancing!! We will be getting another sim card in Argentina where we will be arriving over the next 2 days... leaving Bolivia today at 10.40pm and arriving at 7am in Argentina tomorrow on the night train. But first we have to get back to the Uyuni where our train leaves tonight. At the mo we{re in Potosi, the highest city in the world! In appx 30 mins we{ll be boardning a very cramped local bus for 7 hours non stop (make sure we empty our bladders before hand!) so will keep this short n sweet!

Silver mines yesterday were an experience never to be forgotten.... 13-15 year old boys each day go up to 500 metres under ground to mine for silver at 2.5 dollars every 7 hours ? very tempting to get my Human Resources hat on buut sadly it wont do much good over here with minimum wage. The 4 hours underground for us was really scary and not an enjoyable experience- so dusty and very little air to breath! But we made it out the other end!

The salt lakes a few days ago in Uyuni were another unforgettable experience but this time a stunning one ? masses and masses of salt left over from the evaporated lake (only to reveal water in January). We drover over in 4x4 where our guide contiunually fell asleep ? we were thank ful to be alive at the end of the day!!

Ola Bambinos just wanted to wish you Feliz Navidad in case time runs outin the nxt few days. have just about bought and wrapped all the pressies now, Nan is arriving tomorrow. House is decorated, as is tree - next year you'll have to come and do it for me! The weather is typical for this time of year cold at night but bright sunshine in day, don't think we'll get a white Christmas but who knows?! Guess the only thing missing is you guys. Hope I'll be arround next time you call cos I don't think I can get through to you at moment. I'll keep trying. Hope life is still good and the derriere is returning to normal - sorry don't know the Spanish for bum! Life here is boring in comparison. What are you planning for Christmas? I'm sure it'll be a change from the turkey although guess you'd make an exception for the pud if you could find one despite the heat.We'll save some for you.
