Sorry to have missed you in BA, it is an awesome city and you will have agreat time there, especially staying in Recoleta. If you get a chance go to Mendoza too, it is also a really great town and has some great wine. Hopefully I will catch up with you in UK some time.
Jon & Pausie
Hi to everyone, thanks for all the messages which has kept us happy andf even amused. People are funnier than we remembered!!! Cheers to the 2 Michelle's, M&S, little cous Vicki, A&E (great to speak to you on messanger the other day)-yes those pictures are the tango show and we have learnt the basic steps (pausie with rhythm and JB trying hard!!!), Mama&Papa (enjoy Thailand), M/E/A/S-great to hear more naked conversations, B&P (we will be in IOW ASAP), M&A - will miss Carneval in Brazil (another time) but any tips for Rio, Sau Paulo or Salvador would be great. We will be home this year, that feels wierd.
we spent last week enjoying the sights of Uruguay. The country is alot quieter than Argentina especially as at this time of the year, by my own admittedly bad calculations, 57.27893% of the population leave the cities and spend the month on the beaches (which are very pleasent indeed but can be rathert packed!). Colonia del Sacremento is a completely chilled and very beautiful small town (cobbled streets, grand old buildings, shady plazas..hope you are getting the picture) where we just ate good food, wandered the streets and forgot to put our watches forward the hour that you need when arriving from Argentina and subsequently missed the bus to Montevideo. First time in 4 months so i suppose you can forgive us (though Alena & Vincent, if you ever read this message i think you both will understand). Montevideo - you can miss it once you have eaten at the old port market which is an oasis of huge steaks in the middle of a rather run-down old city. The coast is v beautiful and unfortunately due to time constraints we could only make it as far only as Piriapolis - a pleasent but too packed town near the v expensive Punte Del Este which for people of our modest means was a touch out of range. We are now back in Buenos Aires and have just started the final 2 weeks of spanish school that we have planned. Seems that we are the only ones in BA that ever seem to work. The whole city has left for the coast so we enjoy the blasted humidity all by ourselves.

Dear Jon and Paulie- We have loved reading your messages and looking at your photos. We are just a little bit jealous reading them (it's cold here!).....but are so happy for the two of you. It looks like you are having an amazing trip, we can not wait to hear all of the stories. You should be making your way to Carneval soon. It was an awesome experience, I am sure you two will have a great time there. Tate showed us the gifts you sent her. You will not believe how fast she is growing up, she is an angel (most of the time). We have just got back from a trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, it was all pretty amazing. We were there for a friends wedding on New Years Eve. Happy New Year to you both. See you sometime in 2006. Take care. Love, Michelle and Alex
