Hi, you both! Next week I will start Uni and Cris is doing fine at her work. That's just in case you feel envy of "the spanish way of life" ;-) Remember Jon to put some sun cream on otherwise you will look as my dad sooner than you think; red, fat and bold! We've sent you some pictures of this summer, let us know when you see them. Although you can't see it, it takes us quite a long time to write just a few (and I guess bad) words, so we're waiting (como agua de mayo) :-) some spanish writing in our e-mail. You know you've got the best teacher you can find for those words you normally don't find in the dictionary. They will be useful if you find another pickpocket! We hope everything is going perfect and we will follow you around the world! See you, lots of love from "the spanish side" XXXOOOXXX

Hola primo, prima. ¡Qué envidia me dáis! I cannot tell how many feet are there in 4.000 m, but I can say they are a lot of metres (in case you doubted it, Melv, Gill). Enjoy it and keep us informed! Un besito

We have now reached Arequipa, Perus second city^on the night bus (8 hours) from Nazca where we flew in a four seater cessana over the lines. The lines are just something else, as though they are extraterrestrial but supposedly were made by the Nazca people 2000 years ago. They are all huge, the best being the condor in my humble opinion. We are off the trek up Colca Canyon tomorrow (approx 4500m, no idea what it is in foot Dad). We have both felt the effects of the altitude here (approx 2300m) and we will stay at about 4000m for the next 2 weeks until we go down into the amazon.
Pausie has a bug at the moment but we be fine with rest. I have shaved the rat off that was on my face for those of you who were kind enough to point this out. The group we are travelling with are all cool, most of them are Aussie so the boys better do the business in the last test otherwise i will get some serious hassle.
And for those of you who care the weather is now about 30 degress and it is 5pm here!!! Paus will soon be getting a great tan whilst i burn. The world would not be the same without the feel of aloa vera!!
Love to all, enjoy work!!

Totally agree with your thoughts on Lima - don't worry, Peru has LOTS more to offer. The Guinea pig is ok, a bit fiddly to pick the meat off all those little bones though. Have a great time xxx

Thank you for all your lovely messages - we´re missing you all already, the good thing is we have each other.... dont worry GIll and Melv I´ll definitely look after that rascle for u!!!! Lets just one thing straight the flight didnt offer any kind of easy access -shall we say!!!
Mama & Papa, thank u for the lift to Heathrow - world record of 1hour and 10 and not even speeding!
Luke and James hope you´re looking after Mummy (my sis) and Daddy?!!
The hotel is clean and fine for what we need (this is obviously for our parents!!). Our spanish is improving to the extent we don´t need to shout slowly in English to every person we speak to!
I (JB) nearly got pickpocketted on our first full day here. The books do warn you and I was typically English in not giving her any money whilst her hand was in my pocket grabbing our camera! Next time I feel some bruce lee action moves as i take out the 12 year old!!! A lesson learned by both of us.
Little Sis - make sure you keep me updated by text on the 5Th test!!
Dad - text me the England vs NI result.
Off now to find some traditional Peruvian grub (fancing a touch of Gineau Pig) for lunch or perhaps some ´fanny´cat food we saw yesterday. This place is great for crappy puns!!
Sending you all hugeist hugs
LOL P&J xxxx
