Day 41. An early morning bike ride across the very wide mud flats to the jetty. Two brand new barges were being unloaded from road trains for the barramundi offshore acqua farm. The drivers have been on the road for 6 days from St Helens in Tasmania where the barges were made! A great Australian story! After a pancakes breakfast at our van, we toured the town and jetty and the Saturday morning market. A visit to the Old Derby Goal of 1906, the Prison Boab Tree and the Myall's Bore and 140m Cattle Trough just fascinating. A quick look at the local art at Horvil's Art Shop and back to the van for lunch and our comfortable air conditioning! The Annual Derby Mudcrab Race was on and we were not going to miss it. Dinner tonight barbecue steak tossed in a Thai beef salad. Hot 34 degrees today.
