Day 28. Prado serviced at Toyota Kununnurra so now we are onto Highway 1 east to the small town of Timber Creek, crossing back into the Northern Territory. Detoured into the Keep River National Park for a walk in the beautiful gorge - a mini Bungles - saw aboriginal rock paintings probably thousands of years old. Then onto Timber Creek to book into a fairly basic cabin as we need a tiny bit of luxury after camping out for several days. Tried fishing under the bridge on the Victoria River again. Met up with our friends from Canberra again, unfortunately they have a busted shock absorber leaking oil and they are towing a camper trailer. Quick beer purchased from the bar only after we showed our ID and wrapped in a brown paper bag - lots of restrictions here as sadly there are a lot of aborigines hanging about the bar. Pizza from the local shop for dinner and a fresh farm paw paw from the Ord.
