Paul ventured out for 21km through the forests. Spectacular views and mostly empty forests. Trails everywhere. Yvonne ventured in and snoozed until 9AM. After a 12km run through the forests around Basildon (And there are lots of them - quite impressive!), Yvonne and I walked Matthew and Nicola to (high) school (Slinking away at the appropriate time). A pleasant walk in yet another sunny day. Back home to get ready for the trip to Leigh on Sea for shopping in the high street, then on to Southend on Sea for 'high tea'. Sorry for the lagging blog. We've been either getting in too late, have been busy with activities or no internet access. Mostly no access. We have arrived early (5:30 to tonight's accomm so we can catch up on a few things, so hopefully we can bring things up to date..... Sorry for the break in transmission if you're watching.... Standard routine = Yvonne works out the inside of her eyeballs. Paul works out. Today's run was a longer one as the crew had planned to snooze s bit. A half marathon along the canal tow path was in order, which took me through lots of great countryside, and past a few historic buildings and bridges, but disappointingly - no locks. For the most part, crunchy gravel, but long sections of lumpy grass and mole tunnelled mud made for slow going. Awesome way to start ...
